Creating functional art requires trusting my instincts and then moving forward without over thinking so that the designs have an opportunity to evolve.
  I have spent much of the past 15 years living on small islands in the Caribbean, the South Pacific and the San Juan Islands. This freedom of movement and exposure to such varied cultures coupled with my work on the water fed my creativity and expanded my knowledge of working with wood, clay, metal and photography. Organic forms, textures and colors are present in all of my designs.
