I combine the clean lines of the Arts and Crafts movement with the rusticity of worn wood in my furniture and accessories to create a comforting atmosphere of beautiful necessities.
  The organic nature and simplicity of my first experience building furniture with drift wood when I was living on San Juan Island has led me, ten years later, to continue to incorporate the use of weathered wood in most of my designs. The barn planks that I use now evoke the same sense of the outdoors and provide warmth to calm our cluttered lives.
